The TEMPOS Thermal Properties Analyzer can be used in a wide range of materials. Getting good thermal contact with concrete is simple with the appropriately sized pilot pin. Simply coat the pin in petroleum jelly and insert it into unset concrete. When the material cures, remove the pin and use a TEMPOS needle coated with thermal grease for complete thermal contact between the probe needle and material.
If you are measuring set concrete we recommend using an appropriately sized drill bit and thermal grease for best results.
These pilot pins are designed for TEMPOS TR-1, TR-3, and TR-4 needles.
