Measure thermal properties of nearly any material
The TEMPOS Thermal Properties Analyzer can be used in hard materials, including rock and concrete. To ensure good thermal contact, we recommend pre-drilling a hole using a drill bit capable of boring into the material. METER supplies a drill bit (or rotary hammer drill bit for the RK-3) with all needles, and additional bits can be ordered from customer support.

We recommend using thermal grease in these materials to ensure the best thermal contact. For concrete and other materials that may be too brittle or too malleable for a drilled pilot hole, we recommend using a pilot pin.
